Happy Birthday - Splash!

Today is my mother's 89th birthday. She says she feels great, and she's already looking forward to her 90th next year. She told me this morning what she's going to wear when she gets together with her surviving children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren to celebrate that milestone.

Here she was a month ago today out in Colorado, with four of her 15 grandchildren.

So, I wish a Happy, Happy Birthday to the gal with the big legs. I love you!

P.S. The 'splash' in the title above refers to the circumstances of Mom's birth. My grandmother went to tinkle, and out came a surprise! Nana was too shocked to act right away. Luckily for all of us, Nana's mother was there and quickly scooped Mom out of the toilet bowl. My mother, incidentally, doesn't like water to this day. Do you suppose there's a connection?

Thanks for the good wishes, Yasmin and Shelia! My sister and brother-in-law had a cake for her. At times like this I wish I could just fly those 1,100 miles like Superman so I could see her . . . .

Happy birthday to your mom - she looks fabulous! What a blessing to be 89 years young. The Bible says that the number of man's years is fourscore and seven (87) and anything after that is just added blessings!

And I bet there's a connection with the water...

Patricia, Donna, thanks for your good wishes sent my mom's way. I think there's a connection between the birth and her fear of water too, Donna!
