It's Up Again

Gas was $2.63 yesterday when I passed the station at Wal-Mart but didn't stop to fill up . . . because I was tired and wanted to go home.

Today it was $2.81.

Guess I should have gotten it yesterday. You slow, you blow.

Dang! I'm really concerned for the heating bills this winter... Between those and the gas... goodness!

Gas prices are too high and they don't have to be. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank at our expense. I wonder what they'll buy with their quarterly bonus this time.

Gwyneth,
Maybe we'll get lucky and have a nice mild winter. If people have to spend large chunks of their income to fill up their gas tanks and to heat their homes, one of the things that'll be given up will be books . . . bad for both of us.

Shelia,
Those bonuses are sure to be publicized. It's enough to make a person start riding a bike!

Wow! We only jumped about 5 cents a gallon but who knows what tomorrow morning will bring.

Who's making profits, directly or indirectly? Let's see...Bush, Cheney, Exxon (record profits for the last few years), ...

At least I did see reports of a mild winter this year, which bodes well for the north but may not help us down here in the south. It only means we'll be running A/C year round.
