What's Good Enough for Don Imus is Good Enough for Isaiah Thomas

The guilty verdict is in. I say throw the book at him. His defense of using the B-word toward a black woman was pathetic and says a lot about what's wrong with black culture today. I know his mama taught him better than that. God help us if the majority of black men feel it's perfectly all right to disrespect black women this way.

That's all I have to say.

And like Don Imus, Isiah will land on his feet, if he falls at all. He'll still be on the bench for the Knicks this season.

I'm not sure I buy the young woman's entire case but clearly there was a hostile environment there, not uncommon for sports teams. Maybe this will cause all of the professional sports world to sit up and take notice. It's a new day.

Thanks for commenting, Princess, Gwyneth, Patricia! This is all so troubling.

I have NEVER liked Isaiah Thomas. I never bought into his "good guy" act. The way he disrepected the Bulls when they beat the Pistons in 1991 for the Eastern Conference Championship was indicative of who he really was.

Just goes to show that money, power and a nice suit can't hide your true colors.
