Oh, no

Sean Levert died yesterday at the age of 39. His older brother Gerald died less than two years ago. This is a heavy burden for any family to bear.

May God rest his soul and give comfort and strength to his parents and other loved ones.

This just so heartbreaking and sad. No parent should have to bury a child, let alone two children.

This is so sad. I hate to hear this. I know this is hard on the parents. We need to keep them lifted up in prayer.

This was very sad to hear. The latest word is that he died in jail rather than at the hospital as first reported. Now the Cleveland police department is being investigated. Hopefully the family will receive some closure.

Thanks for weighing in on this tragedy, all! Maybe they do need to do an investigation. I've certainly heard some disturbing stories about the circumstances. It's impossible to separate truth from rumor. Rumors still surround the death of Sam Cooke after 40+ years.

The Levert family has given joy to a lot of people through their music. I hope they feel the love and sorrow in our hearts and can hear our prayers of support.
