More Madness
This time on the campus of Northern Illinois University. This comes barely two weeks after the murders at a Lane Bryant store in the South Suburbs of Chicago. I don't understand why anyone would want to turn living, breathing, laughing people into corpses. People should be able to shop or attend class without being murdered.
I just want to know: When will it stop?????

Just sad. Just last week, this woman shot up and killed folks in class at this community college in Baton Rouge, LA and now this.

These are perilous times we're living in.

It won't.

As long as people have relatively easy access to guns, this is going to continue.

When I was in school, the thought of anyone bringing a gun was ludicrious. Now, it's the norm.

Sadly, there's not much that can be done to prevent it. What do you do? Have armed officers in every hallway and classroom? Keep every door locked? Metal detectors at every doorway?

Even with all those precautions, someone with a deranged purpose will find a way to circumvent these measures to do some damage.

And we'll have a whole generation of teens and young adults who will be scarred for life after witnessing and surviving such carnage.

The only thing left for us to do is pray.

Donna, I think you're right about prayer. And I'm praying for our society.

Shelia, these are indeed perilous times.

Thanks, ladies, for sharing your thoughts!
